Jennifer Aniston has listed her Beverly Hills home for $42 million, explaining that the property is simply too large for her.

She said: “‘I couldn’t sleep and I sort of had one of those moments where I really needed to simplify. My life needs to be simplified and clear out the clutter. And along with that thought came, I should sell my house. I had the realization that this is just too much for me, I’m not this person.”

The Friends star purchased the 9,000 square foot home for $13.5 million in 2006 and then spent more than two years renovating it. It was completely overhauled by designer Stephen Shadley and features a Koi pond running through the entrance hall, panoramic views of Los Angeles, a solar-heating system and a swimming pool.

Aniston named the property Ohana in homage to the Hawaiian idea of extended family.
