Five years ago ,Panerai launched the first watch as big as chocolate.And this trend has lasted up til now.Nowadays, many manufacturers have introduced extra large watches with diamenter of more than 44mm.Apart from the huge round watches, there is a lot of rectangular,oval and square watches as well.

Trend Two: full color

The color trend is changing very fast. Of course , black and white are the main colors for dial, bracelets are generally silver and gold,and strap is usually black or brown.However,for those who want to catch others’ attention  the colors already meet their need now.

The life of quartz watch battery is generally about five years.How long mechanical watch(non-automatic type) can go after winding once.This mattters a lot. It can regarded as”power save” in the perfessional term.Currently,many manufacturers are competing on “power save”.

Senior dealers previously had looked down upon the “digital watch” since they always reminded people of worthless things and discount goods. However, the current situation has changed .digital watches have become a trend.

Trend Five:extra large date dial

The eye-catching  date dial is popular. The famous  Germany watch brand “Lange”and”Sonne” even combine the date dial with their brand logo.Large date dial set a higher technical requirements for mechanical wathes,because the normal watch requires only a debugging wheel spin,while the large screen watch needs two .

Trend Six:rubber strap

It wasn’t well-received when  the watchmaker “Hublot” first introduced  a gold watch with rubber strap in 1980.However, today bubber strap has become the mainstream.And some other tyre material similar to rubber strap also appear.

Trend Seven: shape

If you are not concerned about the watch, you might think that all the watches are round. Indeed,most watches are  round. But in fact,there is a  variety of  watch shape. At present, apart from circular shape, watches of other shapes are popular again. Watch designers  devise  a variety of styles for watch,making full use of arc, arch, geometric shape and various non-symmetrical shape.

This trend can be traced back to Cartier in 1996, launched “Tank Francaise”, which is also the most popular watch of Cartier up till now. Regardless of where  the trend started, this trend has continued until today. Square dial is particularly welcomed, making it can be seen everywhere.

Trend Eight: lady watch

Watch makers finally discovered that women actually  have the same  passion for this little accessory as men do, then they  have launched quartz and mechanical watches with small dials ,  which are perticularly suitable for women . Some models are designed with clear female colors.

Trend Nine : rose gold

How can we  determin  whether the watch is  high-level?The most important criterion is its material . Platinum was once the most popular color, and white metal also had  become  well-received . However, the latest trends is slightly pink rose gold.
