The International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM)
Asia 2011 will present a lifetime achievement award to Adrian Zecha, founder
and chairman of Amanresorts, one of the world’s most luxurious and recognised
travel brands. Commenting on the upcoming award presentation,
Debbie Joslin, ILTM’s Exhibition Director said: “As one of the forefounders of
the incredibly high levels of service that the luxury travellers of today
expect, we are honoured to be presenting Adrian Zecha with the ILTM 2011
Lifetime Achievement Award.”
Adrian Zecha was one of the founding
partners of Regent International Hotels in 1972, one of Asia’s first luxury hotel
groups. He was responsible for the development and financing of RIH’s hotel
projects, and contributed to the company’s rapid ascension into one of the
world’s leading operators and owners of luxury hotel chains. In addition to his
position at Aman Resorts, Zecha is non-executive chairman of General Hotel
Management Ltd, a prominent developer and manager of luxury hotels and resorts.
The award ceremony will take place at the
close of ILTM Asia’s Ultratravel Forum on June 13 at the Shanghai Theatre,
Portman Ritz-Carlton. Now in its fifth year, ILTM Asia invites the world’s
definitive collection of luxury providers and luxury travel producers to meet and
mingle with an exclusive guest list of some of the most discerning buyers of
luxury travel from the Asia Pacific region.
