Hongkong Land Limited kicked off boutique boulevard 2011 with a lavish evening of celebrations in The Landmark Atrium in May 2011. At the VIP opening, Hong Kong’s crème de la crème flocked to scrutinize and experience CENTRAL’s most iconic malls, including Alexandra House, Chater House, The Landmark, Prince’s Building and The Landmark Mandarin Oriental. Selected brands in The Galleria and the Mandarin Oriental also geared up for the event from May 13 to 15.   

After opening speeches by co-hosts David Martin, head of retail at Hongkong Land Limited, and Maryse Kraatx, executive director of the French Chamber of Commerce, the evening’s entertainment officially began with a breathtaking opera and dance performance. Other gigs worth mentioning included Nebula Swing, Shadow Silhouette, Rock Orchestra and Baroque Fencing. A photo exhibition by acclaimed New York photographer Charlie Wan further augmented the artistic bent of boutique boulevard 11. Wan’s subjects include TV presenter cum supermodel Kathy Chow, CEO of Sau San Tong Shirley Cheung, founder and owner of Hong Kong’s SEVVA restaurant Bonnie Gokson, and renowned hair stylist Kim Robinson.  

Besides indulging themselves in the brand’s in-store animations, guests were invited to pose for a tech-meets-style shot at an instant photo booth at The Landmark Atrium. A larger-than-life digital book was also set up to guide guests through the activities.
