For a pretty reasonable sum of US$175,000, you can purchase two mountain peaks in the Austrian Alps,
the only requirement being you keep them open and accessible to climbers and hitchhikers.

Austria’s federal real estate company, BIG, has announced
the sale of two peaks, 2,690m Grosser Kinigat and 2,600m Rosskopf, describing
them as being popular destinations for mountain climbers and hikers and
offering the most stunning views of the Carnic Alps.

While locals are understandably irate at the sale of the mountain
peaks, interested buyers have till July 8 to place their bids. Twenty
individuals have already done so, according to the regional daily Kleine Zeitung.
