From May 26-29, Asia’s leading art fair will play host to more than 250 galleries, both returning and new, from 38 countries in its Galleries section. International galleries returning at the fair include Marianna Boesky, Leo Castelli, James Cohan, Pilar Corrias, Gagosian, Greenberg Van Doren, Hauser & Wirth, Lehmann Maupin, Galerie Lelong, Lisson, The Modern Institute, Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, Sperone Westwater and White Cube. Newcomers include Galleria Massimo De Carlo (Milan); Sadie Coles HQ, Stephen Friedman, Victoria Miro, Kate MacGarry and Timothy Taylor (London); Acquavella, Gladstone, Marian Goodman, Sean Kelly, David Zwirner, L&M Arts (New York); Yvon Lambert (Paris) and Sprüth Magers (Berlin/London).
This year’s ART HK will also feature top-tier galleries from the Asia-Pacific region, including Eslite Gallery (Taipei), Hanart TZ Gallery (Hong Kong), Kukje Gallery (Seoul), Long March Space and Pace Beijing (Beijing), Roselyn Oxley9 Gallery (Sydney), SCAI THE BATHHOUSE (Tokyo), Nature Morte (New Delhi), PKM Gallery (Seoul), Anna Schwartz (Melbourne) and Vitamin Creative Space (Guangzhou).
A platform for up-and-coming artists, this year’s ART FUTURES will showcase works by emerging artists from 45 young galleries worldwide. These include Josh Lilley Gallery (London); Mother’s Tankstation (Dublin); Charim Ungar Contemporary Berlin | CUC (Berlin); Galerie Christian Lethert from (Cologne); TORRI (Paris); Francesca Minini (Milan); Rotwand (Zurich); GALERÍA MARTA CERVERA (Madrid); | EDS | GALERIA (Mexico) and Mendes Wood (Sao Paulo). The ART FUTURES prize, sponsored by Land Crawford and consisting a cash prize of US$25,000, will be awarded to one artist featured in the section.
ASIA ONE, a newly-introduced section, will feature a dynamic mix of 47 galleries from 12 Asian countries, each exhibiting a solo presentation by an artist of Asian origin. Galleries exhibiting in this section include ARTMIA, Chambers Fine Art, China Art Projects, C-Space, ALEXANDER OCHS, Galerie Paris-Beijing, Platform China, Primo Marella Gallery, Red Gate Gallery and Y++ Wada Fine Arts (Beijing); 55, m97 Gallery, Other Gallery, Shanghai Gallery of Art and Vanguard Gallery (Shanghai); Sin Sin Fine Art from Hong Kong; and Chan Hampe Galleries (Singapore).

Asian Art Fairs Ltd, organiser of ART HK, has just announced a purchase agreement with MCH Group, the organizer of Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach. Starting from 1 July 2011, MCH Group will take a majority ownership stake in Asian Art Fairs Ltd. Plans for ART HK 2012 are well underway. Slated to be held February 2 – 5, it will once again be helmed by current director Magnus Renfrew.
