In a twin celebration of Gucci’s august brand history and
heritage, the latest range of fine eyewear for 2011 was unveiled with an
exclusive retrospective exhibition at premier eyewear boutique, Spectacle Hut,
at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. The snazzy cocktail party was graced by select VIP
guests and a bevy of well-known local and regional personalities and celebs.

The exhibition was a proud showase of the House’s most
recognizable icons, such as the Gucci Crest, the signature GG logo, the Bamboo
motif, Web, Horsebit and this season’s focal point, the updated Gucci
script. Based on the founder Guccio Gucci’s original signature, the Gucci
Script appeared for the first time on Gucci products in the late 1940s. The
icon has since flourished into an important new symbol for the House.

The evening also marked the first time that the exhibition
was showcased in South East Asia. Making its second
stop after Shanghai, the itinerant
history & heritage was in Singapore
for one night only. For this stopover, the entire Spectacle Hut Boutique at
Marina Bay Sands was completely transformed to provide an exceptional Gucci
experience.

With platters of luscious canapés and flutes of bubbly at
their disposal, high-profile guests such as model Tara Rushton, TV show presenter
Oli Pettigrew and actor-director Adrian Pang were on hand for a interactive, touch-and-feel
