Having just launched the world’s first self-sufficient Zero Carbon Life Support Vessel earlier this year, British designer Richard Sauter of Sauter Zero Carbon Design is persistent in his vision of socially-conscious luxury, this time with Ark Angel LSV– a 78-meter eco-friendly superyacht.
As a Certified Carbon Offset Project, the solar hybrid Ark Angel LSV features a carbon neutral design that can achieve 50% – 100% reduction in fuel consumption and GHC emissions. Drawing its energy from plug-in power sources and a variety of renewable sources – including wind, solar cells and currents – the yacht is estimated to save 4,000 tons of CO2 each year. Ark Angel LSV is also equipped with advanced technologies such as the SUNPOWER Exoskeleton solar cell and can host up to 18 guests and 16 crew members.
