On March 8, Hermes treated her Singaporean customers to an
exclusive presentation of the Spring-Summer 2011 Women’s Ready-To-Wear. In keeping with the year’s ‘Contemporary Artisan’ motif, the
boutique at Liat Towers
on Orchard Road was
transformed to resemble a craftsman’s workshop. Whimsical benches were woven
from measuring tapes in the House’s trademark orange, and accented with pops of
color in the form of giant buttons and needles.

Select looks were shown with models walking the store’s
glamorous spiral stairs. Fine leather jackets and gloves in honey-brown hues
contributed a distinctive equestrian air.

After the presentation, the 100 distinguished guests were
ushered into a private room, where butlers were at hand to serve wild
elderflower bubbly, hibiscus champagne cocktails and crisp crackers cradled in
mossy wicker baskets. One particularly memorable highlight was a delightful ‘Edible
Garden’ of fresh baby carrots and
greens nestled in shaved chocolate ‘soil’.
