Jaeger-LeCoultre is hosting a ‘Fine Watches Exhibition’ with the help of Elegant Watch & Jewellery Co. in Times Square, Hong Kong from February 19-23.

On display at the exhibition are some of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most important collections such as the Reverso, Master Control, Duometre and perpetual Atmos clock.

The Reverso dates back to 1931 when English colonial army officers based in India challenged watchmakers to create a watch capable of surviving a polo match, their favourite sport. The solution was a case swiveling 180 degrees to protect the watch dial.

In contrast, the Master Control is the epitome of the classic, round watch. Its dials are distinguished by an uncluttered design which highlights its functions. Models include the Master Memovox, Master Ultra Thin, Master Hometime and Master Geographic.

Also on display is the Master Grande Tradition line, defined by classic aesthetics, high-tech materials and cutting-edge technologies. Highlights range from the Master Tourbillon to the Master Minute Repeater and Master Eight Days Perpetual SQ.

Elsewhere you’ll find the Atmos clock which was invented in 1928. Its perpetual winding principle is based on a hermetically sealed capsule filled with a mixture of gases. The gases expand when the temperature rises and contract as it falls, relying on just a one-degree temperature fluctuation to provide it with a two-day power-reserve.

Completing the line-up are some of the brand’s Haute Joaillerie pieces. One particular highlight is the tiny, rectangular, diamond-pavé watch regulated by the Calibre 101. First produced in 1925, it’s still the smallest mechanical movement ever made and was worn by Queen Elizabeth II at her coronation.

The historical exhibition is located on the 2nd floor lobby of Times Square, Causeway Bay.
