James Purdey & Sons is a quintessentially British sporting brand and here we present a selection of some of their finest, male goodies.
The Mammoth Tooth and Rose Gold belt buckle is a unique mechanical belt buckle priced at £10,500 (top). The result of a collaboration between bespoke gun and rifle makers, the buckle is hand crafted from steel and rose gold which is inlaid with fossilised mammoth tooth.
Another highlight of Purdey’s range is a Large Drinks Cabinet made from oak and leather which contains fourteen glasses and two hand cut crystal glass decanters.
The cabinet is made from solid oak and is covered in leather with brass corner protectors, while the lining is crafted from the same baize as a Purdey gun case. Priced at £15,000, inside the lid you’ll also find a gold embossed leather gun case label.
The Brass Compass with Leather Case is a liquid prismatic compass built to full military specifications. Accurate to within half a degree, it’s built to withstand the roughest and toughest conditions likely to be encountered anywhere in the world and comes with a bridle leather case with shoulder strap.
It also contains Tritium light sources so it can be used in complete darkness without the aid of artificial light.
Completing the line-up is a Coin Finished Cigar Cutter which features the highest grade of stainless steel and has a guillotine mechanism capable of cutting any cigar up to ¾” thick. It’s made from coin finished steel (embellished with traditional gun engravings) which is cut by hand into the body of the cutter then blackened to highlight the design before being given a final polish. It’s priced at £1,075.
