The space – formerly Mango – slotted between Steve
Madden and Aldo has finally been filled (because we are all in dire need for
more sartorial choices). The latest arrival to IFC Mall is MAX&Co., or in their
words, a “creative fashion laboratory”. For those who think that the name
sounds familiar but not quite, MAX&Co., a member company of Max Mara Fashion
Group, is the younger and hippier cousin of Max Mara.
Designed by Duccio Grassi Architects – the guys
behind the designs of Max Mara and MAX&Co. shops for the last 25 years – the
IFC mall MAX&Co. boutique exudes the comfort and exclusivity associated
with a private garden. The space is replete with motifs of nature including
bird nests, meandering garden paths, private islands and tree barks.
On June 1, MAX&Co. celebrated its opening and ushered
in the summer season with Notte, a
unique event of make-overs, fashion styling, scrumptious canapés and fine
drinks. DJ Yellow was on hand to add zest to the party atmosphere. Victoria
Tang, Elaine Lee, Candice Chan, Christie
Wu, Vanessa Yeung, Jacquelin Ch’ng, Carrie Lam and Jocelyn Luko all turned up
to experience the new MAX&Co. concept.
