This
summer, the Principality of Monaco will host another fairytale wedding between H.S.H.
Prince Albert II of Monaco and
his beautiful fiancée, the future Princess Consort of Monaco. To
seal this royal union of love, Montblanc has wrought an exquisite, one-of-a-kind
writing instrument, to be used by the couple on their wedding day.

The Création
Privée from the Maison’s artisan Atelier Hamburg was
inspired by the architectural elements of the Palais Princier and the
Principality Flag, and embellished with precious stones and the monogram of the
Princely Couple. A solid white gold fountain pen, the cap and barrel of this
masterpiece are engraved with a rhomb-shaped pattern and set with a total of 161 rubies and
128 diamonds, echoing the colors of the Monegasque State. The 18K gold nib is engraved with a dove, rings and crown – all meaningful
symbols of this state union. As with all its creations, the Montblanc emblem
adorns the top of the cap in glimmering mother-of-pearl.

Following
the wedding, this unique writing instrument will be gifted as a memento of the
special occasion in European history, and as a personal treasure for the newlyweds.
