New for Fall and Winter, Chanel’s latest range of eyewear are the gleaming result of Karl Lagerfeld’s experimentation with his twin sources of inspiration: the clean lines of Oriental sophistication and slick, sixties-chic. Take a look at the eyewear-making process, developed by
master artisans and detailed in the video above, and marvel at the
dedication involved in the designing of these accessories. Indeed, these glasses are, as Karl Lagerfeld notes, “essential not only out of necessity, but also as a source of fun”.

Some notable accents include the iconic engraved double C logo on the arms in pale gold, silver or grey, with the optical collection showing a predominant oblong butterfly design in the House’s signature tweed in a variety of autumnal hues: brown and pale gold, red and metallic grey.

The sunglasses, on the other hand, exude a subtle, delicate aesthetic reminiscent of the Orient, with the streamlined, tapered arms embellished with tiny, hand-enamelled metal studs in tone-on-tone shades of China blue, black, bold crimson and the Chanel signature combination of black and beige.
