Infamous Ponzi schemer Byron Keith Brown, whose scam illegally raked in $17 million, amassed a heady selection of supercars and 17 of them are now heading to auction.
The cars will be sold today as part of an auction run for the U.S. Treasury Department. The proceeds will be added to the U.S. Treasury’s Asset Forfeiture Fund while net proceeds derived will go towards restitution for Brown’s victims.
Highlights of the auction include a 2007 Lamborghini Murcielago, 2005 Rolls Royce Phantom, 2004 Mercedes Benz Maybach 57, 2004 Bentley Continental Coupe GT, 2002 Ferrari 260 Spider Convertible and a 2006 Aston Martin.
The auction will take place at the Manheim Baltimore-Washington location, 7120 Dorsey Run Road, Elkridge, MD, 21075.
Brown was given 15 years in prison for his crime.
