Set against a backdrop of the dazzling club resort JE Mansion, Shanghai Tang launched their Spring/Summer 2011 collection with a star-studded fashion show event. Fashionable attendees included actress-cum-fashion-icon Fan Bing Bing, dashing actor Hu Bing, actress Qin Hai Lu and Li Xiao Ran, Taiwanese model Godfrey Tsao and MTV hostess Zhu Zhu.

Poignantly titled Metamorphosis, the fashion house’s latest ensemble was an eclectic blend of tradition and contemporary influences. Inspired by the Miao people’s profound respect for nature and their distinctive costumes, the collection was created with one’s natural surroundings in mind. This was reflected in the tribal embellishments and earthy colors of the pieces, as well as the creative deployment of a grass lawn as stage.
