International travelers have ranked Southeast Asian hotels
among some of the world’s best. Twenty five hotels in the region have been featured
in the world’s top 500, according to the 2011 Insiders’ Select list by online
travel company Expedia.
Three Singapore
hotels made it to this list of the world’s top hotels, with Fairmont
Singapore and
Conrad Centennial Singapore also voted in the top 100 by Expedia travelers.
Tara Angkor Hotel in Cambodia
was ranked as the world’s 50th best hotel, and properties in Indonesia,
Malaysia, the
Philippines, Thailand
and Vietnam
have also made the list this year.
“Southeast Asia has always featured strongly in previous
Insider’s Select lists, due to its popularity as a travel destination. This
year is no exception and is a clear indication that hotels in the region
consistently provide good quality, service and value to travelers, leaving our
Asian travelers spoilt for choice,” said Dan Lynn, Managing Director of Expedia
Asia Pacific.
