Border terrier Smike’s received an
unexpected treat for his seventh birthday: a one-of-a-kind, £2,500 replica Rolex collar. Talk about having
a watchdog around the house!

Smike’s owner, Karen Denney from the village of Crawford near St Helens, decided to splurge
on her canine pal after hearing of the customization service available from
Alison Jones, a specialist in luxury pet accessories. The pair has become
quasi-celebrities in their hometown, with many a stranger stopping to inquire
after the chocolate brown leather strap: “Smike gets lots of attention when I
take him out for a walk he’s so full of fun. He’s the talk of the village at
the moment.” You don’t say!
