As the artsy kid responsible for tattooing a number of Hollywood big names, Scott Campbell descends into morbidity in his latest exhibition at the OHWOW gallery (L.A.). Artfully titled Noblesse Oblige, the exhibition features etchings on copper plates, haunting images drawn inside ostrich eggs, charred currency and the most expensive of all, a skull carved out of $11,000 cash.

Upon taking uncut sheets of dollars from the U.S. Mint, Campbell made the skull by slicing a 3-D image into the stack. The skull was then placed in a 2 feet long by 2 feet wide copper box. How much is the artistry worth? A whopping $39,000 apparently – translating into $50,000 for the final piece. Money definitely speaks for Campbell.
